Under the Supervision of Brenda Santillan, LMFT 129832
Hello, I’m Karen Lupercio, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Long Beach, CA.
I work primarily with adults and have two years of experience supporting clients through life’s challenges. My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing, growth, and self-understanding can unfold naturally.
My Focus:
I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. I help people explore the deeper layers of their experiences and develop new ways of thinking, feeling, and coping that align with their goals and values.
My Style:
I strive to build genuine, collaborative relationships with my clients. I believe therapy works best when it feels like your space-whether that means bringing in humor, offering a more structured or directive style, or simply holding space for reflection and emotional processing. I meet you where you are.
My Approach:
I draw from trauma-informed and person-centered frameworks, tailoring sessions to your unique needs. Together, we’ll work to uncover insight, build resilience, and support meaningful change-at your pace.
About Me:
I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University,Northridge. As a Latin-American therapist, I bring a deep understanding of the unique culturalstressors, expectations, and values that can shape our mental health and relationships. I aim to hold space that is culturally sensitive, affirming, and inclusive. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a big fan of breakfast foods, enjoy spending time with my dog, and have been told I bring a warm, approachable, and bubbly energy to my work. I believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating and I do my best to create a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported just as you are.
